DAILY BURSA TOUR

Overview

Bursa is one of Turkey's most industrialized megalopolises and the fourth most populous city in the country. Between the years 1326 and 1365, Bursa served as the Ottoman Empire's capital. "Hüdavendigar" was the city's Ottoman name; "Yeşil Bursa" (which translates to "Green Bursa") is a more modern moniker. The extensive woodlands that surround it and the numerous parks and gardens within it are the inspiration for this description. Uluda, the massive mountain in the background and a popular ski destination, is practically synonymous with the city itself. Famous Turkish dishes like skender kebap, candied marron glacés, peaches, and lokum are all created in Bursa.

Itinerary

• Visitors are picked up from their hotel in Istanbul and taken by private bus and boat to Bursa.

• When guests arrive, they are taken to a nearby restaurant where they are served one of Bursa's signature meals, skender kebap.

• After lunch, you'll travel with a guide to see many of this great city's attractions. 

  Visitors will see the Green Tomb, a tomb of Mehmed I, the fifth Ottoman Sultan, and the Green Mosque, both of which are part of a larger complex.

• Visitors will see these amazing locations before riding a cable car to Uluda. 

  Uluda means "Sublime Mountain" in Turkish.

• After ascending the mountain, visitors will board a ferry back to Istanbul, where they will be driven back to their accommodation.
